Race history
The MS Gran Prix began in 2001 as a two-day stage race based in Natchez, MS that gradually shifted to a three-day stage race hosted solely in Brookhaven.
It kicks off with a Friday night Sr. 1/2/3 Criterium through the streets of Downtown Brookhaven and features a Saturday Morning Road Race for all categories. This race usually ends around noon and then moves on to the next stage - the Time Trial - late in the afternoon. Sunday morning marks the end with a challenging Circuit Race around Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
Our race numbers have grown each year with last year's race reaching over 250 riders - truly making it THE RACE OF THE SOUTH!
